ABOUT OUR SCHOOL

Located at 1218 Corinth Road in Jacksonville, Texas, Jacksonville Christian School began as a Kindergarten class in 1971 by Bunny Beall. It is a non-denominational school supported through tuition and donations that provides a high standard of academics in Jacksonville and surrounding communities. The school has 56 students in Pre-Kindergarten 3 through Eighth grade with a student/teacher ratio of 12:1 in Pre-Kindergarten and 16:1 in Kindergarten through Eighth grade. Jacksonville Christian School is a member of the Association of Christian Schools International and Association of Christian Schools of Texas.
The Bible and core subjects are monitored through Stanford Achievement Tests. The complete battery scores of JCS students are in the 80-100 percentile of the nation. It is the goal of the school to offer a high degree of academics to the students.
JCS offers P.E., Art, and Music programs for Pre-Kindergarten through Eighth grade.
A school library consisting of over 6,000 books is set up with the Accelerated Reader program, in which the students take a computer comprehension test after reading their library book.
Points received from the tests are part of the student's reading grade each six weeks.
Jacksonville Christian School is making a real difference in the lives of children academically and spiritually. It is the mission of JCS to teach the students spiritual, emotional, social, and academic foundational principles that applies to their lives now and in the future.
